Carlos was born in Manta, Ecuador. With a background in Industrial Engineering and a deep passion for teaching, Carlos has pursued a diverse career in education both in Ecuador and the United States. He has 17 years of teaching experience, including 12 years in Ecuador where he taught subjects such as English, Math, Chemistry, Science, and Social Studies.
Carlos joined Tessa as a Spanish teacher and Spanish Program Coordinator and is now the STEM teacher and Coordinator. He is well-versed in various educational environments and is dedicated to fostering a love of learning in his students. His enthusiasm for teaching is contagious, and students are naturally drawn to his dynamic and inspiring approach.
In recognition of his dedication and expertise, Carlos has been named a STEMteachersNYC 2024 Siegel STEM Fellow. This prestigious fellowship supports Teacher Fellows in their professional growth and leadership, enhancing the understanding of the needs of STEM educators.
