Yira Sandoval
Assistant Teacher
Originally from the Dominican Republic, Yira Sandoval is a bilingual educator who is passionate about language, culture, and creating meaningful learning experiences for children.
Yira holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master's degree in human resources. Before joining Tessa International School, she built a successful career as an organizational consultant, university professor, and leadership trainer, helping individuals and organizations develop leadership, communication, teamwork, and professional growth.
After moving to the United States, Yira expanded her educational journey by working with students in New Jersey schools, where she has supported children with diverse learning needs in inclusive classroom environments. She believes every child thrives when they feel valued, encouraged, and inspired to learn.
As a native Spanish speaker, Yira enjoys helping children discover the beauty of the Spanish language while fostering curiosity, confidence, and an appreciation for Hispanic cultures. She is excited to be part of the Tessa International School community and to support students as they grow into compassionate, confident, and globally minded learners.
