French Lead Teacher
About Tessa Summer Camp: Tessa “Fun, Friends, and Discoveries” Summer Camps are thoroughly enjoyable language immersion programs in three languages – Spanish, French or Mandarin!
Children explore a range of fun multi-sensory, highly interactive activities with their teacher in the target language, from outdoor fun, to indoor creative play, singing, games, music and movement. Children have fun while learning a language and being exposed to a different culture.
Job Details
Tessa International School is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Summer Camp French Teacher to join Team Tessa for our summer camp program!
The Summer Camp French Teacher will be responsible for teaching French to students ranging from ages 2 to 10 years old, five days a week from 8:00 AM to 4:00PM.
Tessa Summer Camp is a 9 week camp, Monday through Friday. The camp runs from June 29th to August 28th.
To be considered for this position, the following criteria is required:
- Experience teaching children ranging from 2 to 10 years old
- Native speaker of French
- Ability to teach full immersion French classes to summer camp community of children. This includes students who are Tessa students during the year, as well as students from the outside community.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to plan lessons accordingly
- Ability to manage children’s behavior and abilities
- Ability to provide a nurturing, respectful and caring learning environment
- Authorization to work in the United States

Mandarin Assistant Teacher

Tessa International School is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Summer Camp Mandarin Assistant Teacher to join Team Tessa!
The Summer Camp Mandarin assistant will be responsible for collaborating with and supporting your class’s Lead Teacher teaching to students ranging from ages 2 to 10 years old, five days a week from 8:00AM to 4:00PM.
Tessa Summer Camp is running for 9 weeks, Monday through Friday, starting on June 29th until August 28th.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with classroom and behavior management
- Keeps the classroom and the school clean, tidy, and presentable at all times
- Assists Lead Teacher in a range of tasks as needed
- Assists with pastoral care
- Leads outdoor play and any field trips
- May perform diaper changing, feeding and soothing of very young children depending on the class
- Assists in other duties as assigned by leadership
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4 pm .
Qualifications:
- Must be a Mandarin native speaker or fully bilingual
- Permission to work legally in the USA
- Love of young children
- Caring, empathetic, kind
- Experience with young children preferred
- Positive and mature personality
- Assistant teaching or teaching experience preferred
Pay: $740.00 per week
