Brandon Herrera
Lead Teacher
Originally from Colombia, Brando Herrera is a bilingual educator with more than a decade of experience in international and bilingual schools. He holds a bachelor's degree in Education, is certified in Elementary Mathematics Practices, and is a fully IB-trained educator. Throughout his career, he has specialized in teaching mathematics and science through inquiry-based, hands-on learning that inspires curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Brando is also an accomplished LEGO League Robotics coach. Under his guidance, his teams have earned championship titles in national LEGO League competitions, reflecting his commitment to innovation, teamwork, and excellence in STEM education. He is passionate about helping students discover their potential through engineering, coding, and creative design challenges.
This year, Brando begins an exciting new chapter by moving to the United States to continue growing as an international educator. He looks forward to becoming part of the Tessa community, learning from its families, and building meaningful partnerships that support every child's success. Outside the classroom, Brando enjoys music, skateboarding, soccer, traveling, and exploring new cultures
