Cecilia Rojo was born and raised in Mexico. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), with a specialization in Instructional Design and Educational Innovation. With more than 15 years of experience in education, Cecilia has worked with learners across different ages and educational settings. Her background includes pedagogy, didactics, curriculum and instructional design, and the development of meaningful, child-centered learning experiences. Her educational philosophy draws from constructivism, Positive Education, and Waldorf-inspired approaches, with a strong belief in learning through exploration, creativity, play, and meaningful connections.
Cecilia is particularly interested in inquiry-based and experiential learning, encouraging children to ask questions, explore their environment, express their ideas, and develop their own sense of agency as learners. She values observation and reflection as essential tools for understanding each child’s interests, strengths, and individual learning process, while fostering collaboration, communication, creativity, and social-emotional development.
As an educator, Cecilia is passionate about creating inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments where children feel valued, confident, and curious. She is excited to join the Tessa community and to contribute to its multicultural environment by sharing the Spanish language and Mexican culture while supporting children in becoming open-minded, engaged, and lifelong learners.
In her free time, Cecilia enjoys embroidery, botanical drawing, and finding inspiration in nature.
